Was given one of these free. It needs to be cleaned and transistors replaced. The wood box cover is shot. I'm going to make a new one for it. I know it's a good receiver, and it's pretty filthy. Worth having rebuilt? Estimated price worst case/best case?1496059777101.jpg 1496059777101.jpg

I would give it a good clean first so that you can see if there are any burnt tracks, dry solder joints, bulged caps. etc. Then disconnect and reconnect all plugged wires to see if there are any bad/loose connections. By then you should have a pretty good idea if it's safe to switch on.
