T-Systems and Siemens Collaborate to Shape and Drive Industry Digitalisation in Germany

Germany-based tech and manufacturing corporations T-Systems and Siemens have announced a partnership with the goal of driving the growth of digitilisation in the country.

Their partnership is meant to exceed the industrial IoT market expectations for robust solutions in the region, and to bring T-Systems’ connectivity solutions from its NarrowBand-IoT to the German industry, as well as ultimately offering technology to better enable the development of 5G, cloud, edge computing technology and enhance industrial operations and processes. 

 

Individual Contributions 

Adel Al-Saleh, CEO of T-Systems stated: “We partner to drive and shape the digitalization of the German Industry. The new solutions comprising technologies such as 5G, cloud and edge computing will enhance industrial operations and processes”.

Siemens’ cloud-based IoT operating system MindSphere, along with its shop floor automation offerings and deep expertise in vertical industrial digitalisation, is expected to contribute to full automation—from enterprise architecture design to system implementation.

“T-Systems and Siemens [have] cooperated,” said Jan Mrosik, chief operating officer of Siemens Digital Industries, “to enable German businesses to drive industrial digitalisation and accelerate the development and deployment of industrial IoT solutions.”

All in all, the T-Systems-Siemens partnership reflects both companies’ interests in proving leaders in Information Technology, telecommunications, and operational technology. In fact, the alliance is aligned with Siemens’ vision for digital transformation in the manufacturing and process industries unified.

Future Collaborative Plans 

Both partners have appointed a dedicated team of IoT experts in order to jointly drive customers from consulting on enterprise architecture design to implementation. The first specific use cases have been identified as machine health, predictive analytics as well as fleet management solutions.

This partnership consolidates the strategy of both enterprises in pairing up to boost customer confidence, revenue and reach in ways to make it exciting to see what can be achieved when two of the most established companies collaborate to pave the road for digital transformation in Germany. 

T-Systems and Siemens have embarked into the digitalization across all fields adding true value to its customers with this partnership, making it easier and faster to position these new products and services with the expertise of dedicated teams of IoT, digital specialists to impulse the first specific solutions in machine health, predictive analytics and fleet management.
