Zenith Z56Z95 RPTV picture is red

I sold my TV to my neighbor a month or so ago & the picture was fine,
but I was over & now the pic has a reddish cast to it.
I'll get it fixed eventually (the tank of the toilet on my second
floor cracked & flooded all 3 floors), but I was wondering about what
cost I'm looking at & what could possibly be wrong. Any advice would
be appreciated.

Did the flood affect the TV or was that just non-information you
provided about the toilet??

Sorry, just needless info about why I have to wait to fix it.
 
Find the red screen control and try turning it down a bit, That should
remove the reddish cast. Then, the questions is is the set stable, or
does it continue tio get red with time. You can fix the other stuff
while you are waiting to see if turning the red screen down is
permanent or not.

Thanks. What do you mean by red screen control? Is this in the
service menu or something on a circuit board? I'm not a tech, but I
can get into the service menu.
Could it be not too much red, but maybe too little of another colour?
The menus appear greenish when they should be yellow. I'm not sure
what colours would make up yellow.

Green and red makes yellow on a CRT. If what should be yellow is
greenish means it lacks red. On nearly saturated colours it means the
red drive is insufficient. However, the red cast symptom means the red
threshold or bias voltage is off. The 2 symptoms might be related, for
example if the red driver is faulty. Then the red bias is upset and
the red drive or gain might be too low, both together. But it might be
something completely different like a shorted red gun.

Find a dumpster and throw it in. A bad CRT (picture tube) is very likely in
these things. Sorry.
