Zenith TV service adjustments

I'm working on one of the early 9-700 based Zenith "Digital" sets from
the late 80s and need to know how to access the service adjustments.
This does not use the 9876 Enter combination that the later sets use.
It has 3 recessed buttons which work in combination with the front
panel controls to adjust things like the vertical size. I remember
working on one of these years ago and finding the instructions on
Dejanews, but I haven't been able to find the post again.

.... Digital circuits are made from analog parts.

If it's a 9-700 according to Zenith you just use the standard 9876 method. This
is on a E-F-G-J model series. If it's a C-D series I believe they used the
9-535 module with the keyboard that slides out with the 3 access holes, but if
this is what you have, the bottom hole is the "Store ram". Push this to set all
the customer settings into memory, color, brightness ect. The top button is the
"reconfigure" button. Hold it in as you press:
Band for color osc up
AFC for color osc down
Trebel for horiz centering
Balance for vert size
Bass for side pincushion
Sharpness for width
After adjustment release the reconfigure button and press the center button
"store immediate" to store your settings. This is all the factory adjustments
you can do on a C or D.
Good luck on a real *Winner* there ;-)

You're right, it's an SD2791 with a 9-535. I just assumed it used the
9-700 that all the other Digitals use. The model label is missing, so
I had to get inside to find the model number.

Thanks for looking up the instructions. I'm only bothering with it
because it was free, has a good CRT and I need a set with an RGB
input. This is the first one I've seen with a functional door control
panel.
