Hi,

I am working on a Zenith TV Model SD2501W3, which was made back in
1987.

It was hit by lightning and the following part is shorted.

It is a Motorola zener diode Part no. MK279-22711.

It is labelled CR6 in the low voltage section.

Does anyone know what the specs are for this diode and what a suitable
cross reference would be?

Thanks in advance for your help.

NTE's cross reference lists an MK279-14 as a 6.8v 1/2W zener and an
MK279-27 as a 18v 1W zener. You should be able to narrow it down by
how it's used in the set.
