Zenith System 3 Question

I have an old Zenith System 3 model SC2097W manufactured in September 1986.
It's a cable ready model. On channels above 67, the picture is fuzzy.
Channels 2 to 66 are crystal clear. Is there anyway to clear the picture
up or is the tv not designed for channels above 67?

The reason I'm asking this is that Cablevision,in all of their wisdom, put
the local sports channels on 70,71,& 72.

Thanks

Don't believe this model/year will receive CURRENT cable channels above
67. Sorry.Use an el-cheapo VCR to tune 'em in.

Yikes ... new tv sets are not that expensive now and have a much better
picture .

Your set is capable of getting those channels. It's probably bad solder
connections around the grounds on the tuner 175-2277-01, or a bad tuner. It
could be fixed probably. People laugh at sets that old all they want. Zeniths
of that era were very good as long as the picture tubes were good. A lot better
than later Zeniths.

Those 80's sets were made when Zenith's slogan actually meant something, all
right.

The 1990s Zeniths, on the other hand ... does anybody like seeing their Zeniths
turn green? - Reinhart
