I have just bought a Yamaha Electone MS 600. It worked fine for about ten minutes and then when I increased the master volume, there was a faint pop and all sound including headphoned was lost. All the lights on the switches ect work fine.Fuses are all OK too. There are a number of capacitors on the panel and I wondered if it could be one of those but none show signs of swelling or blowing out. Any halp in this would be so very welcome.

Try placing your ear on the speakers, adjust the volume control up and down several times, you should hear a humming sound that goes up and down. if not problem with the stage before the amplifier, that is the sound processor. if you dont hear the hum. problem with the amplifier and speakers, including the sound ports or jack. disassemble the unit. look for loose connections or cold solder joints from speakers to amplifier.

No hum or anything. The power amp module on it's heatsink is cold.
