I have taken apart a couple of televisions lately, I know what all of the
parts are except for two.

One is a 3-pin capacitor-like thing that has a designator of "Y" or "CF".

The other is a five pin can thing with the pins laid out as:

o o o

o o

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Probably a ceramic filter. Could have the freq on it, such as 4.5 MHz
or whatever it might be.

Need a better desacription than that.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

That would be it. Learn something new every day.

The other component has labeled on it "kyocera 45Z J".

The middle top pin and the right bottom pin (facing down) appear to be
grounded to the case.

Was it near the tuner? the footprint looks like a SAW filter.

Kyocera used to be (still is?) big in ceramics. Maybe that's a filter
too?
