I have a home system DVD recorder model "Philips DVD-R70"

When I copy a DVD from my second DVD player (Linked via Scart) it plays back
on all other DVD players ok if I use DVD+RW disks but if I use a DVD-R disk
it doesn't play on any of the other machines except for the Philips recorder
itself.

Any ideas ?

No I don't think that's the reason as like I said if I use DVD-RWs its ok on
90% off copies I make, its only when I use DVD-Rs.

I think that the player has to support DVD-R or DVD+R or DVDRam disk to use
them..
So to me it sounds like the players you have tried it in simply doesnt
support a +RW (do you mean +R)? disk

Whoops I mean (R+). so if I start again its ok with DVD+RW but not with
DVD+R
