Wireless communication

Hi...
I am new to antennas, if I give the output of a 1Ghz oscillator to half feet wire and place another half feet wire connected to band pass filter allowing 1Ghz , will I get same signal??

The wire will attenuate the signal, but if you can filter everything but 1ghz then you should be able to amplify it again ... but then ac is almost like magic to me
