    Hi,

I want to put a wifi IP Camera at the front gate. I have it all set up and I can see the image in real-time until I try to Pan or Tilt it.

The reception to the camera is OK but as soon as it tries to respond back (I assume) to the wifi-AP with an acknowledgement for Pan/Tilt move, it hangs. I then I have to go out and power it down and up again to get the picture back. It will not have Panned from it's original position so I am guessing it is waiting on some response from the Router-AP.

For the moment I can live with just the picture but I would like to be able to Pan/Tilt, just because it can.

So, I am thinking of getting two of these

One for the router-wifi-AP and one for the camera which both have SMA connectors.

Can anyone chime in whether these things can supply a claimed 9db gain or not. If not the full 9db, then at least some gain?

Reading a LOT of reviews, it seems that an antenna without some form of +volts assistance cannot add much in gain to a wifi set up.

Also two of these could be an option

    Thanks
