Why are SCR's recommended for inductive loads (and not Triacs)?

    I have read that SCR's are recommended for inductive loads, while Triacs are not. Can anyone explain why this is so?

    I don't know why this should be so. Where have you read this?
    You can find a lot of literature showing how to do this.

    Great thanks. I will give it a try. This may have been an outdated recommendation.
