What's the difference c639 and bc639 Transistor

    Went to buy a bc639 transistor but was given a c639 is this the same thing ?

    Maybe NOT!

    What is the can style of the C639? If it's TO-18 then it is probably
    a 2SC639 which is quite different to the BC639 (TO-92). It has a lower
    collector voltage and power rating but a much higher fT (375MHz).
    The connections are in a different arrangement/order to boot.
