    can i ask u a question?
how much resistance do i need to emit a 3.7volts from a 9volts supply?
    :)

You might want to stop asking the same question in multiple threads...

To answer your question one would need to know the current draw of the circuit...

I've moved this into its own thread. The places you picked were inappropriate.

CocaCola asks a very valid question. Even more important to realise is that if the current draw changes (or your 9V supply changes voltage -- say if it's a battery) the voltage will change.

It would be useful to know what you actually want to do (say, drive a motor, light a LED, or charge a lithium battery. Each of these might need 3.7V, but the circuit you would use in each case would be very different.
