a "posistor" is the same as a "PTC"
maybe PTC sands for Posistor T??? C??? does anybody else know?
Positive temperature coefficient resistor. Aonther name that might be
used is PTC varistor.
: I'm helping a friend repair a tv and came across what is termed a
: positor in the power supply - what is it, and what does it do? (and
: how do I test it!)
: I've seen people refer to these as PTC resistors (I know what these
: are) but this device has three legs.
