What happens when electronic toys shut off by themselves?

First I want to say "thanks" for those who responded to my old post
about what happens when a electronic object drops even ever so slightly.
Someone requested I take photos of the circuit board and I still intend
on doing that. I found another toy keyboard, a Vtech. I think someone is calling
it a KidiJamz online but I don't see that name on it. It will turn off by
itself, giving itself the trigger on the chip to have a human voice say,
"Let's jam again later." and a little electronic melody play. It does turn
off like that when I engage it to do some other function. That is the normal
shutdown routine it is doing.

Does anyone know what might be causing this problem?

First make sure the batteries are fresh, I have some of my kids electronic toys do strange things with weak batteries - sometimes they seem to "recycle" the system memory, almost as if they shut down, then the battery recharges or recovers somewhat and retriggers the toy.
