    In the following sentence:

xxx Serdes device is capable of 2.5GBd serial data rates.

what does GBd mean and what is the difference between GBd and gbps,
which stands for giga bits per second.

Is GBd an acronym for giga baud?

    thanks

In your quote, GBd apparently does stand for gigabaud.

For the difference between baud rate and bits per second, ask the

    Good luck
