->   International leftest has successfully prevented the Nation from
-> using its vast reserves of coal.

-> A fossil fuel that burns and produces the exact same amount of co² as
-> oil from Middle East. Both are fossil fuel coming from the same decayed
-> sea life. Either can be used to produce clean burning natural gas, no
-> one can tell the difference..

First, get your facts right.

Coal is almost pure carbon. Oil is a mixture of hydrocarbons -
compounds of carbon and hydrogen. When oil burns, a lot of the heat it
produces comes from oxidizing the hydrogen to produce water vapour. The
rest is produced by oxidizing the carbon to CO2. When coal is burned,
almost *all* of the heat comes from oxidizing the carbon to CO2. For
the same total amount of heat, much more CO2 is produced by burning
coal than oil.

It's true that various processes can be used to make gas from coal. For
example, steam can be reacted with hot carbon to produce hydrogen and
carbon monoxide (CO), both of which are flammable gases. When
these gases are burned, the hydrogen burns to steam and the CO to CO2.
The end result is the same as if the carbon was burned directly, and the
energy produced is the same. You still produce the same large amount of
CO2 as if you had burned the coal directly.

There's no getting away from the fact that coal is a truly filthy fuel,
and the very worst for producing CO2.
