The latest EC scam requires every electronics producer in the UK to
cough up a minimum of £450 by March 15th. What are other (UK) folks
doing, and is there any information, anywhere, as to which scheme is the
    least waste of money?

  2. three options
    a) Cough up 450 pounds
    b) leave the coutry
    c) stop producing

plus there might be a chance to get an exempt.

One of our regular customers is the Environment Agency. We've put up the
price of all products (just to them) to cover the cost of complying.

I hope you explained the reason. Are they covering the entire cost of compliance
    ?

The importer has to deal with AIUI. Unless it's from another EU country I
    suppose.
