I only 'moan' about ill-sited ones that rely on grants to make a poltically
motivated 'green statement' and which probably provide very little useful
    energy.

The worst examples are rooftop turbines on homes.

Were these sited in an intelligently chosen location ?

  2. Sorry, but the original thread has gone past it's sell by date on my
PC, and I couldnt remember the exact context. Must change the delete
    date.
Never seen one here, but since 2004 (?) it's mandatory for all new
houses to have solar water heating, which is almost sensible. Plenty
of the offgrid homes have wind/solarPV, usually a wind genny on a big
    stick in the garden
Pretty good indeed. not a mountain for miles. Spain has over 12GW
installed, about the same as the total US, from a very brief read of
    http://www.resource-solutions.org/l...y.Development.India.Spain.China.July.2007.pdf

Plenty of wind here. Unlike the UK, with the wrong sort of wind :)

  3. Wind power is great. Unless it blocks Ted Kennedy's view.
