  1. Hi Sir , Hope u will be enjoying best of health & luck

I wish to use a thyristor to use as a switch which will give an out
put upto 6 volt at output to drive the other circuit , where i wish to
use it in my final project where i have to drive my circuit using a 9
volt battery and thyristor while taking the input of thyristor from
the DTMF tone of my Mobile
Kindly urgently reply me ,as my project sumission date is comming
    closer
if possible then plz send me rough circuitry or link
    Regards

You won't learn anything by asking other people to do your homework for you.

How about learning how a thyristor works instead. They're really quite easy to
    understand.

  3. And VERY tricky to use in a DC circuit, since they will not turn off
    without some fancy commutation tricks.

That was my first thought too. Explosive communtation.

That depends. I know of a real case where when the charge went off,
it launched the wire up and over the power lines. Needless to say, if
that thyristor had been able to block the mains current, things would
have turned out better for the persons bank account.

  7. You are in the wrong newsgroup. This nonsesne belongs on:

for DC an SCR or TRIAC is not very simple to shut them off.
1] need to remove drive and/or reverse anode voltage or reduce the curent to below holding current. if you do not understand then use a transistor it will follow the base input, inverter output. once an THYR. is on it will stay on until holding current is reduced to that level. basicaly it is a diode where it turn on with a gate voltage then it is a diode for all intenses and purposes it will not disconnect not ubtill the current is dicreased below holding current.

  14. Why? I think the whole problem with the middle east is in fact "The West"
    blocking Evolution and Natural Selection!

  15. Because that newsgroup doesn't exist?

  16. Because without the UN creating the framework for a nation of 5 million
wellfare queens the "palestinian problem" would have disappeared 30 years
ago. Without US millitary support KSA would have been sacked & burned to the
ground 20 years ago by Iraq. The Turks would have got busy with some
genocide on the Kurds - and they would still be at it.

....And without western technology, medicines and imported food, there would
be no way to keep up a 5%++ p/a population growth - a population that is not
sustainable because the brief niche for cheap labour is already filled by
China and India (and there is no demand for skills in reciting the koran).

All in All the middle east would be like the rest of northern Africa! It
will still go the same way, but harder, with more people involved when the
oil runs out. 30 years max. KSA probably lies about reserves. Hence the
"threat" of not raising oil prduction as long as people are ínvesting in
alternative energy: The cannot raise and tries to make the best of it!

Putin is seing "the light" with Kosovo, Europe is beginning to wake up. The
US (administration) only sees suitcases full of "consultancy fees" to the
most mallable Ex. President & Cronies.

Any number about oil from an OPEC nation cna't be trusted. OPEC's
quotas were based on the reserves so everyone had a strong motive to
    lie about what they have.

We won't run out like hitting the end of of a soda with a straw. The
    recovery costs will rise.

  18. And you think the solution is to give them nuclear warheads?

  19. Sure - old-style 1000 Megatonners with fully ROHS compliant launch
mechanisms .... perhaps a wee buglet in the timer and the target programming
    too.

The CIA was going to do similar things with IED detonators often used
in Iraq, but the lawyers put the kibosh on the plan.
