Hello,

i was wondering how you can increase the voltage on something and decrease the amps in it.

For example, a 1.5v battery, How would I increase the volts and decrease it's 2.4 amps.

Thanks!

Your question makes very little sense.

Primarily because there are no "amps" *in* anything.

Perhaps you can tell us what you're trying to do and we can help you.

A DC to DC converter can increase the voltage supplied by a battery while decreasing the current capacity, is that what you are asking?

A voltage source does not supply any specifiic amount of current, it supplies current dependent on the load. Otherwise there would be electrons flying into the air when it was not connected to anything :) The power being supplied is the voltage multiplied by the current. You cannot make a voltage converter that increases the power, so if you up the voltage the max current will be reduced.
