I have a ceiling fan in my master bedroom with a light kit on it and when
you run it at night it looks like it is shaking and making a rattle noise.
Other than relocating the pull chain for the fan to keep it from hitting the
glass cover over the lamp, how could I get it to stop shaking and making the
rattle (tapping) noise all night (or when ever it is on)?

The fan is out of balance. Are any of the blades damaged? Look for
missing screws, bits of stuff stuck to them, etc. If all is well, you
might have some luck by adding a small amount of weight to the end of
one or more blades once you figure out which one is causing the problem.

A trick I've used to figure out this sort of thing is hold a piece of
chalk near the edge of the rotating object until it just starts to
contact the chalk. Stop it and look to see which area has chalk marks
and add weight to the opposite side.

  3. Balance weights for ceiling fans are a Nickel and some scotch tape.
Too much? Move it inward a bit. Not enough? Add another Nickel.

First get a rule and hold it against the ceiling at the end of the
blades and make sure all blade tips are equidistant from the ceiling.
Then try weights on blades one at a time

Actually, I could experience this when I bought my new ceiling fan. It produced unnecessary sound and it makes me irritating. My friend told that you need to reinstalled again your ceiling fan, so I follow his advice and fortunately, I don't hear any sounds of my fan. seo services
