Greets, I was wondering if any of you parts gurus would happen to know where
I could find a very small text (but preferibly graphic) lcd with dementions
of H12mm L24mm and a depth of no more then 4mm, 2 or 3 lines of text or a
graphical lcd with resolution enuff to make 3 lines of readible text heh..
I've looked around at surplus stores online etc but have found nothing
remotely similar..

Much thanks for any help.

Search for "microdisplays". They are not usually designed for direct
viewing; they are used in applications like LCD projectors.

http://www.kopin.com/html/cyberdisplay.html

A company called Kopin makes graphic displays for virtual reality
headsets. Lots of models and sizes. I have a batch of the
old model mono chips, they are less than 1cm diagonal. Needs a lens
for viewing but looks pretty cool. You can use RGB LED backlight
to do field sequential color at 24 FPS. If you want a larger screen
I think they have something between 1 and 2cm diagonal. Anyway I'll
sell you one of the obsolete mono ones really cheap if you want to play.
If you're designing a product you'll want to get current samples from
them.
