i had a problem with my vertical ic according to other blogs..iwas going to re solder some joints but when i took the tv apart i could not find it....part number la 7832..does anyone know where it is located..also a funny thing happened while inside the tv...i cleaned it(really dirty/dusty)and pressed down on some of the connections...when i plugged in the tv it came on and has stayed on without the thin horizontal lie i was getting befrore..is this temporary fix or was the dirt/dust the problem????thanks neal

I can't say you've fixed it, but why not leave it be for a while and see if the fault returns.

It may just have been a poor connection somewhere.

thanks steve,that's what iam going to do..do you know where in the tv the part la 7832 or the vertical ouput ic is located..i have seen pictures of it but i dont see it anywhere in the back on the boards..thanx again neal

No idea.

But it would vary depending on the make/model of your TV. Best to tell us that as TVs don't all look the same inside

it is a jvc av 27850 made in 1997...this is a 27 inch color tv..thanx neal
