I get my hands on one GM TECH2 diagnostic tool, not working.
and im wondering what did someone get with this green wire connected with the Motorola chip.

http://www.datasheet-pdf.com/PDF/XC68HC58FN-Datasheet-Pioneer-717132
acording to this datasheet for the chip they connect Bidirectional three state data bus input output and transciever biasing resistor input. Can anyone explan a bit? Was i possible that burned out capacitor (if that is a capacitor) on other pictures could be from that
green wire that was added ?

It is a capacitor(Tantalum 10uF/35V) marked as C258 the same as it's neighbor C261.
First thing to do is replace it and hope for good-the area around it looks badly burned.

The green wires look like a manufacture's bug-fix,nothing special.

when i put all as it was and i plug the connector in my artificial OBD connector, TECH2 is powering up as a normal one but
it say that its in some download mode and try communicate with RS232, witch is on that board on the pictures i believe.

Ill try to buy that capacitor if ill have time after work if nothing all get it next day resolder it and try hope nothing bad happens
:D

Thanks for the answer

Yes you can,
keep the leads as short as you can.

That is good news.
I don't know the proper way to duplicate a Tech2 PCMCIA card .
Mmaybe in your friends tech2 and not with a PC is the way to go.
