using capacative or resistive screen through sheet of glass

    I posted a query about whether it is possible to use an existing capacative or resistive screen (i.e mobile phone.) through a sheet of glass. Thanks for any answers.
    Further to that query can anybody tell me how it is possible to make both of the above screens recognize touch accurately through a sheet of glass say 1.5 cm thick. Can the glass be coated with something that will relay that touch through it to the screen below or what other simple technique can be used.

    Unlikely. Imagine the problems of making such a screen work when your finger was 15mm away from it.

    Even placing a duplicate sensor on the other side of the glass won't be really useful because you'll have massive parallax errors.
