Using a television outdoors

I have a Ferguson television (14 inch if I recall correctly) that has a built in VCR. For a project I'm doing I would like to have this television playing in the background outdoors - can this be done?

As long as it doesn't get rained on (or exposed to extreme temps) sure...

How can I do this (if I'm nowhere near a socket...)?

Also, what's the risk if it suddenly begins to rain (apart from ruining the actual television)?

Always a risk of electrocution, as well as the TV going *POOF* and even possibly catching fire...
