I'am actually trying to fix a dead laptop battery pack (IBM thinkpad
380XD). Inside the pack there a "stange" electronic component I suspect
    to be fault... It's a "LN1 E1 400 UMI" It has 3 leads: 1- one
connected to the nigative (-) of the cells. 2 - one coneected to the
external (-) connector of the pack (to computer) 3- and the other
connected to charging circuit inside the pack. I guess it's some of a
kind diode bridge to route current through the circuit inside the pack
when charging...? I'm skilled in electronic and all I can see it's open
circuit between any lead of the component...
Can't find information in any cross-reference I know.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !
