Hello, I'm kind of a new to circuits and stuff, but I know enough to be dangerous :p

I just got into scuba diving and I was wondering if there was a way that you could make a little beacon (transmitter) that you put where your gear is on shore and then a small little receiver you carry with you, maybe with LED's that tells you if you are getting close to your beacon.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it :)

A GPS receiver in a sealed bag?...but then you would have to hold it out of the water every so often. Sorry...just of the top of my head.
