I am wondering how ultrasound transducers are interfaced to electronic
circuit in a ultrasound imaging system. Where can I find more information on
this subject? Is there any off the shelf component for this task?

    Any information is very appreciated.

    Best regards

    Hello ma,

It would be nice to know your real name ;-)
I don't know if there is much published about it. I have designed quite
a few medical imager front-ends but when I began 20 years ago there was
nothing in literature that I could find. I was fortunate in that there
was an engineer who taught me the ropes.

Basically you have to become familiar with the concept of the T/R
switch, pulsers and pre-amps with a huge dynamic range, or at least with
a fast and graceful overload recovery. A good place to start is the
    AD603. Not cheap but good.

    Regards, Joerg
