I am working on a project that is using an Ultrasonic sensor but have noticed the sensor in the example they give has three connections but mine has four. Why the difference?

Wouldn't you think it were a big help to offer us the datasheets or links thereto?

One may have a common connection to the two transducers - the other may have individual connections (i.e. 2 per sensor).

The three-pin board has a single pin for 'send and listen' whilst the four pin board has separate pins for 'send' and 'listen'.

Try reading the 'details' section of the listings.
