Type of Scart Cable

I need a Scart Cable that has a 3 ringed phono 3.5mm plug type plug at the
end, but I don't know what it is called, or where I can get one.

Does anyone know where I will be able to get such a cable? I already have
one, so I know they exist!

Cheers,

Phil

I haven't seen one that goes directly from SCART to 3.5mm stereo, but
assuming you want the 3.5mm to be stereo sound out, you could use a
3.5mm stereo to 2xRCA connector and a SCART connector such as cat.#
303-4078 from RadioSpares (http://www.rs-components.com/index.html), or
one like it from your local electronics/hifi shop which would
undoubtedly be cheaper.

Cheers.

Thanks,

I'll have a look on rs and see what's there.

It's not really a stereo plug, because that's usually only got 2 black
rings on the plug. the one i'm after has three rings, which i assume
are audio (2) and video (1).

They have other options too which I'm unfamiliar with, maybe it's one of
those. Once you find for sure what it is (they're bound to have it!) go
somewhere cheaper. :)

Cheers.

Now that is odd. Never seen one like that.

Can you take a pic and post it at abse ?

Don't know what abse is.

I managed to find a 3.5mm plug type that went into 3 phono cables (red,
white and yellow for 2*audio and 1*video) and then got a composite
scart plug that enabled those phono cables to be plugged into scart
socket. so that should have sorted that!

the 3.5mm plug with 3 phono leads are apparently very common for
camcorders!

Thanks for your help,

Hi,

you probably won't find one unless you are prepaired to make one. The best
bet would be to buy a replacement lead for the camcorder (3.5mm to 3 phono)
and use a Scart plug with 3 phono sockets on the back.
