hi there, recently i repaired a dead sharp tv by replacing the jungle
ic x2701cen1 (exact replacement). It seems that everything works fine.
I fixed the remote control and we began using it (they havent used it
for a long time). But now the OSD menu lacks the necessary options
like brightness, contrast and color control. The tv has no front panel
menu button. Before repairing this tv(the set was still functioning
well), we had those options but now nothing. Only Parental control,
picture, setup. My question is, is the newly installed ic lacks those
features or is there any defective components like capactors caused
brightness, contrast and color control to not include in the setup
menu. First time I encountered this problem. Any advice, clear
explanation of what went wrong. thanks in advance. I doubt when they
program the ic the manufacturer was unable to include these options.
just an opinion. not sure... :)

you'll need to alter something in service mode. probably some string
of data isn't quite right.
try searching eserviceinfo.com for the schematic.
