It would cost more than the TV is worth.

How much would a laser assembly or possibly a whole cdrw drive cost for
    a RCA cdrw121 cd recorder

    Thanks

Why don't you call a Philips part distributor and ask?

I don't know about the USA, but here in Australia the cost of laser
assemblies is ridiculous. You will nearly always pay more for the
laser than you will for the entire drive or the entire unit, assuming
you can buy a laser assembly at all. If you are lucky and the original
CDRW drive is an IDE type, then you may be able to replace it with a
standard PC type, dimensional differences notwithstanding. I've
managed to do this with my DVDR.
