TTP223 Touch IC

Hi all,
I have been searching for a while for the details of the TTP223 touch IC. I want to know the principle it uses to sense touch. Is there anyway I can get the details of the construction of such ICs?

I think what the op is looking for is a description of how capacitive touch sensors work (my interpretation, of course). This link or this one may be more what the op is looking for.

The attached datasheet shows all versions of the TPP223 with the description on the working.
