since CMOS is more advantageous than TTL logic family then why still
TTL's are used in some applications? In what way TTL's are usefull?
merry christmas and thanks a lot in advance.

CMOS has safety problems with static, can deliver less ouput
current(compare cmos 555 timer with the non-cmos),you cannot
leave any input open when experimenting.
TTL circuits facing the outside world are more robuust, having
buildin pullup currents on inputs works very nice when
interfacing switches, any input when open is in the "1" state,
I leave the rest of the advanteges to other people.
    Now start flaming!!....
