Trickle charging AA NMH batteries?

  1. I built a small battery pack which contains 6 AA Nickel Metal Hydride
    batteries, and I charge them with 120 milliamps of current for about 12
    hours since they are 1.2 amp hour batteries, but they don't seem to hold
    much of a charge. Can any one out here tell me if there is some kind of
    problem associated with trickle charging HMH batteries?
