Triac substitution question - Q2006L5

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a replacement for a triac, Q2006L5 which switches
lights and fan for a range hood. MT1 is shorting to MT2 on the bad
part, especially when compared to a known, good triac (the fan
switches fine, light does not switch off).

My question is can I substitute a 576-Q6006L5 (Mouser part) for the
Q2006l5 (original)? I am an electronics enthusiast, not an expert so
need some advice! I am familiar with some of the specification terms
below but not sure of the relative importance of them all. I have
not had much luck with Google searches or other vendors finding a
small quantity of replacement parts so any suggestions welcomed.

Following are the specifications for the original part and the
proposed substitution part. Thank you in advance for any help with
this request or pointers in the right direction!

Triacs used in that sort of application are hardly critical. Just get
something that has minimum 200 V and 6 A as in the original specs.
There's probably no need to worry much about the rest.

It appears that the Mouser part is a 600V version of your original
part. If so, then I think it should be fine.

Thank you Sam and Franc! I figured that the type of triac wasn't that
critical, as long as the minimum specs are met. I scavenged through
an old microwave looking for an old triac and will likely just order
the Mouser one. I'll report back with results on the project. Thank
you again for the prompt replies!
