    Hi guys,
can anyone tell me what a treble-Cut filter does and what is used for?
Could you try and explain it in reasonable easy to understand terms? - because I am slightly new to electronics and want to learn more about it xD

I know it is a treble cut meaning it reduces the treble, but how does it do that?
    Thanks

A treble-cut filter would more commonly be known as a low-pass filter. Filters basically work by using components (capacitors and inductors) that have an impedance that depends on frequency. For example, a capacitor has an impedance that goes down with higher frequencies. Combine a capacitor with a resitor and you can make a votlage divider that gives a different fraction of the input for different frequencies.

For more info, you can always rely on Wikipedia:
