Transformer Question

I think my last message was a bit too jam-packed with information...

Basically, I want to know if high impedance or low impedance in the load
causes a tranny to overheat. I would assume it would be low impedance,
because that would induce high amperage, letting current flow almost
unrestricted between the output leads. But my experience with my own
transformer doesn't seem to reflect this... my transformer is overheating
when carrying a load that has an impedance of 8 ohms, whereas it didn't used
to overheat with a load that had an impedance of 6.25 ohms.

I need a response ASAP, it's kind of important.
