Hello experts,

I have a sewing machine, Singer Futura CE 200.
There was a power surge and machine stopped working. I checked it out and found that the Transformer has open primary.
There is no ratings given on the transformer.
It has 2 primary wires and 6 secondary (2 blue 2 yellow 2 red).
The primary and secondary are connected to a PCB board
Please help me to know its ratings.

Regards
Fariha

Is there anything at all written on the transformer?

Is there anything written on the PCB where the wires attach?

Maybe with a good sharp photo we could figure out reasonable voltages. Currents are another matter :(

If you had a second working machine it might be easier.

Are you sure it's the transformer?
I wouldn't be surprised to find a fuse (maybe not vey obviously placed) that has blown due to the surge.

I don't know much about sewing machines. Is there a simple power schematic glued
to the underside or inside case of the machine, that might show the voltages of the
circuits operating the machine? Did you try Googleing the make and model of the
machine in case you can find some information about the electrical side of it?

As Harald says, it could be a fuse blown, rather than the actual winding open circuit. Some transformers have various types of fuses built in. Remove the transformer and have a good close look at it. Perhaps you could take some close-up photos and upload them.

Photos of the Transformer and PCB

There is nothing written on the PCB except CN1 and CN2 for connections,
As you can see in the photos.
On the Transformer ,on one side its says 85314 (which is singer's part no) and something TAM K 0520 which i dont understand.
On the core there is E76-LD/40 M-2 . Thats all i have.
