What are transformer bobbins made of?
I have this transformer from a tape deck that was destroyed because i
did not know that only the internal fuse was busted. So I opened it up
and somehow the bobbin is not the same as before. The bobbin is made up
of 2 pieces, one smaller than the other. THe smaller on is inserted in
the other. Smaller bobbin is the primary coil.

Transformer is rated at 100 VAC input
Output : forgot. somewhere between 18 to 20 VAC, and a 2.8 VAC. There
are 2 secondaries by the way.

Questions :
1. Where to get replacement bobbins of the same specs. ( 2 pc square
bobbin, concentric)
2. If I am to make a new boobin, what materials do I use?
3. Forgot the count of the primary, It is 770? or 800 turns. The wire by
the way is Gause 32. Maybe there are standards here
4. One secondary has 19 turns, gauge 30. The other one is either 140 or
150, which do you think is the right one?

Thanks

Jeff

You will have to order a new transformer from the manufacture of the
machine. The manufactures do not sell parts of transformers. Also,
there are safety issues with this.
