I have a wild view trail cam. I opened it the other day and noticed the batteries i put in the day before were leaking. Took home and cleaned all i could out. Put new batteries in and it comes on but, you can't program it and it won't shut off. The off/on switch will turn it on but, not off.
Any thoughts ???

Perhaps you need to disassemble it more and give it a thorough cleaning.

The case appears to have suffered some physical damaged (dropped?) which may now be manifesting as issues with other electro-mechanical components such as the switches inside it. Show us more pics (inside etc).

Did you check the last photo your wild view trail cam took? Bigfoot is camera shy! He probably messed with the focusing too; it would come out blurry.

There no on board power for memory. So, nvram.
Cleaned with vinegar and followed with isopropyl. Assembling again, 10-12 time. Crossing fingers

I misspoke, there is an on brd battery. NI-MH 2.4v 40 mah. 11-6-23. Not sure if that's an exp. date or not. But now, I'm looking to find a couple of these batteries as there two dime size batteries packaged together.
Any ideas where i might find them ??

unwrap those things and read what is on the button cells...
Or contact the manufacturer they look proprietary to me may have to buy them directly. Unless you know how to tack weld or spot weld, you can buy them separately. Caution if you try to solder them they're going to pop on you.
This is getting ridiculous. Kind of like that! :p
Hurry up and get those batteries in your trail cam cuz I'm going to pay you a visit.
