I'm trying to understand how to write in the values for PWM for this chip. The problem isn't writing in the values, I can get a micro to do that; I just want to know if I'm right at thinking that 0.0 would be 0% for output 0 and 0.11 would be 100%. So is it safe to say that the smoothest resolution I can get from this chip is 12 steps?

EDIT: or is that 12 bits for a 2^12 resolution per channel?

Well, the spec sheet says 4096 levels, so I think you can get more than 12 steps... probably 4084 more steps than 12.

You actually send it 192 bits of information to set one of 4096 levels on each of the 16 channels.

You have read the specs, right?
