Tie neutral and ground at _one_ point only, right?

Hi Gang,

I just want to confirm a wiring question. I'm consulting on a house
with a main panel and three sub-panels. The tie-bars that connect
neutral and ground should be removed on all the sub-panels and only
left intact on the main panel, yes?

Thanks!

Hi William;

This is entirely correct.
I understand the "one point" business, but iirc there's no tie in the main
panel either - they're tied in the meter base.

The meter base is hundreds of feet away down the driveway, next to the
transformer. I suppose I should confirm that there's no
neutral/ground bond there too...

Hmm, here's a complication, there's another building fed from the same
transformer, where should it's ground/neutral bond be?

Thanks for the feedback, guys!
