Just happened to be looking for parts for old valve radios from the 1940's and 50's when I came across an old thread in EP regarding various suppliers in Melbourne. Talk about bringing back memories. In my teens I would spend time in places like Waltham's basement, ED&E, Homecrafts and occasionally Radio Parts, but my favourite place was McGraths in Little Lonsdale Street, Melb. The stock was mind boggling and the staff where great. We used to grab these little trays and load up with caps, resistors, valves, etc. and then go to the counter to pay. I'm now restoring 10 radios and getting parts in Melbourne is a chore.
Does anyone out there know where to get lucky. Jaycar and Altronics are seriously lacking in this area.
    Cheers,
    Andre
