I have a nursing home i do electrical and phone work for
and they have there fire alarm monitored by the Fire Alarm experts here in
pittburgh so they claim .
once there contrct runs out they will be switching to my service but in the
mean time they kept hearing this high pitched squell and the called the
experts the service tech who was a real piece of work tells them there is
nothing wrong with the fire alarm it must be an old smoke detector or
something in cieling this is rumdum no3 the experts have sent out for this
problem.
finnaly disgusted my cutomer called me and asked me to find were the damm
noise was coming from it turns out theres a small red firelite 911 dialer in
an enclosure above
the fire panel and it was showing line trouble. and thats what the squell
noise was past 5 days on and off. aparently the experts never got a trouble
or test signal or did not pay attention as usaual and they keep wondring hy
they keep losing comercail fire buisness in the city.
