Hi all. I recently purchased one of these TG3 backlit heavy-duty keyboard/touchpad combos for use with a Leprecon LP-X24 lighting console but I've run into problems. The console functions perfectly with a regular keyboard and mouse but the when I connected the TG3, the touchpad section functioned well but the keyboard output garbage, outputting wrong characters, duplicating characters and some keys are not functional at all. I then tested the TG3 on a regular PC and it worked perfectly so the issue is definitely with the console. I contacted Leprecon support and they figured that the console cannot output sufficient power to drive the LED's and for the keyboard to function properly. I'm wondering if the LED diode trace from the PS/2 connection can be disconnected from the circuit board and connected to a regular small AC/DC power adapter outputting directly to the LED's to drive them?
