Can anyone enlighten me as to TO220 transistor type in location Q1
mounted on the primary heatsink of the power supply.
I have replaced all other defective components, but Q1
has a large hole blown in it, so am unable to identify it.
Thanks.

The indications I read on this transistor are :
T I
P50
214
with an additional M circled which means Motorola.
I found easier to replace all the power supply, you need 2 x 5V,1 x 15 V,1 x 8.6V ,1 x -8.6 V, 1 x -5V and 1 x 12 V if you have option 14.
I hope this will be helpful to you.

For trivia sake, the '214' is the date code.
Manufactured 2002, fourteenth week.
